Development Path: Turn on the Time-Machine (going back in 2016)…
The very basic prototype of War Clicks started developing in years when idle games
started gathering attention from a wider audience with games like Clicker
Heroes, Cookie Clicker, Adventure Capitalist,… In 2016 we firstly share a very
basic version of War Clicks, with the main mechanics of destroying various
units, collecting points for such actions, and competing with other players on
various leaderboards.
War Clicks was our first step on the browser gaming market, and we searched for
best practices in various fields, game development, promoting the title around,
analyzing playability, and adjusting it accordingly based on players’
preferences and stopping points we found.
We had various issues with the game’s progression, and time-limitation – the very basic game model didn’t allow us to develop a game that will be playable for the full day, as we had the competition-based model – and we wanted to avoid hacking and other exploits, and still keeping the game fun to play every day.
So, the very basic model consisted of a few minutes of playability per day, and as the game was clicker-based at first, this was enough to maximize fun, and still wish to come back and play the next day.
We listened to players’ feedback and started working further, resolving bugs,
learning tons of new stuff during those times, which helped us to see the bigger
value in-game in the more distant future.

Different from any other idle clicker game in the industry
What happens when you introduce social and teamplay elements to an idle clicker game?
We managed to extend the game in exciting ways and make it stand out from other games in the incremental genre, which was recognized by Kongregate where we got Top spots as a Hot New Game, and also receive Premium spots from ArmorGames as a Popular Game.
The extended gameplay and inter-connectivity between various features we built helped to make late-game fighting more exciting and also giving players an additional reason to play further, compete, collect stuff, rank higher,… etc.
Current Game Development
As the game has been developing for years, we now have more or less the final version ready for players to join and compete.
The game is available to play via the official website or via other biggest browser gaming sites like ArmorGames or Kongregate.
We are proud of players in the niche who find War Clicks attractive and addicting to play! It is always great to see players enjoying the game, as it compensates for the work we put in War Clicks.
